Battle World ("we", "our", "us") is a real-time PvP face-tracking game where players compete in 1v1 video rounds. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Battle World uses Apple's Vision framework to detect facial landmarks in real time during gameplay. This powers our competitive scoring mechanic ("Aura"), which evaluates player performance in front of the camera — including steadiness, eye contact, facial composure, and expression confidence.
During active gameplay rounds (~6 seconds each), the app uses Apple's Vision framework to detect facial landmark coordinates (eye positions, mouth position, face contour points). These are standard 2D landmark points provided by the Vision API — no 3D face mapping or biometric identification is performed.
Facial landmark coordinates are used exclusively to calculate real-time gameplay scores during active battle rounds. The app evaluates camera-facing performance metrics such as facial steadiness, eye contact with the camera, expression composure, and overall facial harmony. These metrics produce a numeric "Aura" score (0–100) used for in-game ranking and leaderboards. Face data is never used for identification, authentication, advertising, or any purpose outside of gameplay scoring.
No face data is shared with any third party. All facial analysis is performed entirely on the user's device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. No facial images, landmark coordinates, or derived biometric data are transmitted to our servers or any external service. Only the final numeric score (a single number between 0 and 100) is sent to our server for leaderboard purposes.
Face data is not stored. Facial landmark coordinates exist only in device memory during the active gameplay round (~6 seconds). Once the round ends, all facial data is immediately deallocated from memory. No facial images or landmark data are written to disk, saved to any database, cached, or persisted in any form. The app does not record or save video from matches.
Since all face data processing occurs on-device and no face data is stored or transmitted, there is no face data at rest or in transit to secure. The numeric gameplay scores transmitted to our servers are protected by TLS encryption.
We use collected data to: operate the game and matchmaking system, calculate and display rankings, enforce community guidelines, and improve the app experience.
